Rebates & cancellations

Medicare

Clients who have been referred by their GP under a Mental Health Care Plan are eligible for Medicare rebates for a limited number of psychology sessions each calendar year.

The full session fee is payable at the time of your appointment, with eligible rebates generally processed directly back into your nominated bank account within 24–48 hours. Higher rebates may apply if you have reached the Medicare Safety Net threshold.

As at May 2026, the current Medicare rebate for clinical psychology is $145.25, and increases on the 1st July annually.

Private Health Funds

Some private health funds provide rebates for psychological services, depending on your level of cover. Please contact your health fund directly to confirm your eligibility and rebate entitlements.

Cancellation Policy

Appointments require a minimum of 48 hours’ notice for cancellation or rescheduling; late cancellations and non-attendance (no-shows) may incur the full session fee, however consideration may be given in cases of illness, particularly if an alternative appointment can be offered within the same week.
